What you want to think about World Environmental Day

Hello everyone. I'm Chizu Nakamoto of RICCI EVERYDAY.

June 5 was a world environment day. We, RICCI EVERYDAY, have raised the environmental impact on all of the productions and sales sites as one of the important goals.

At the beginning of the establishment of RICCI EVERYDAY, we first made attractive products and gave priority to making women's working environment better. But I realized that it wasn't enough. Even if women can work for a long time with peace of mind, if someone is hurt or the environment has adverse effects in the process of making the material used, they will not ignore it. I came to think that I should make an effort to improve little by little.

And now we are working to reduce environmental impact:

  • The African print used in the main product production uses a factory made in a factory in the Ghana Republic. We usually use a lot of chemicals for dyeing cloth, but the factory here has state -of -the -art water purification facilities and re -use purified water again into cloth dyeing.
  • The hagire, which appeared during the production process, is used in other designs, a shopper at the store, making use of it for making a pop for displays, and up -cycle.
  • We use the optimal quantity products that can be delivered to our customers, and we do not discard any products.
  • We provide "eco -packaging" according to your wishes. This started with the desire to omit unnecessary packaging and reduce garbage as much as possible.

In addition to the above, we plan to start a new project this year. The existence of the columns, which we talk about in the columns, is an effort to commercialize with craftsmen using sustainable "Berkross". "Berk Cross" is a material that stretches the wooden skin from the Mutuba tree, which is thinly stretched like a cloth. By the way, the reason for sustainable is that even if you use a wooden skin to make a bark cross, if you do appropriate processing, a sturdy skin will be regenerated on the surface of the tree about a year later. The craftsmen carefully peeled off the tree, boiled the skin, and stretched thinner with a hammer.

We want to go back to the starting point of our manufacturing to the site where this material is made. And I'm excited that all supply chains from material development to product production to sales are tuned in a more sustainable direction. I have just started and I do not know what will happen, but please let me report this continuation separately.

What do you think on World Environmental Day? First of all, think about yourself as yourself. If you have any actions, please let me know.
